It doesn't allow you do actually do very much, but you do get to watch just about every step, and at your own pace. The new version uses the same narrator and the same images (but with admittedly improved resolution). (However, at least on dial up, the videos for the old version take forever to load. The old version isn't as flashy as the new one, but it might be preferable for some users: don't knock it before you try it.
